I’m now in California. It was a beautiful drive through Tahoe Donner until I reached the Agriculture Check Station. I completely forgot this was a thing in California, but no worries because I had no produce with me. BUT then she asked about firewood – oops. Did you know that it’s a problem to transport firewood across state lines? Anyway, the poor girl was only on her third day and she wanted to take my firewood! I told her my story, mentioned that the wood had been drying out on my patio for years, and talked my way out of it. She said “Just go and safe journeys’ – that was sweet.

I’m in Napa right now. My first official day working with my first client! We spent the day training – this new gig is going to be awesome and perfect for me!

That’s not why I wanted to write tonight. I felt the need because this happened:

I met the inventor of the Rabbit!!!! Yes, those are Rabbit signs we are holding up. I am a huge fan! Ladies – you get what I’m talking about. I’m not a fan geek, but this lady deserves it!!!

Heading to Santa Cruz tomorrow to meet up with some SOB friends and play some ball. You’ll hear from me soon.

Recommendation: When in Napa, visit Norman Rose. Delicious!

Tip of the day: When the Ag police want to take your firewood, tell them you purchased it and did NOT cut it down yourself like Paul Bunyan. It worked for me.
