2-0 heading to NYC! My daughter is now a New Yorker, but I don’t think she is a Yankees fan yet. Let’s hope.
I mentioned Crazy Matt –

I’ve known this man for over 40 years, and have very few pictures of him smiling. Oh well. The crazy label is well earned.
I came to Amarillo to visit him on my way to the Dallas area. He is not a fan of this place, and didn’t want to spend a couple days with me here, so he dragged me to South Padre Island. That’s a LOOONNG drive and he insisted that we get there by happy hour. Thank goodness he drove (since he doesn’t like anyone driving his car), so I read a book. Surprisingly, it was a tame couple of days. I worked, spent a few hours on the beach and in the water, we ate, and I wouldn’t let him pressure me into drinking too much. Besides the fact that he seems to know everyone in every bar, It was chill, and I don’t have any goofy stories to share. I was amazed at how boring that drive is – there is NOTHING to see!
I do have to give a shout out to George – thanks for letting me park my rig at your place while I was gone. I didn’t even have to unhitch!
I’m looking for a new book series to start. Any suggestions?
Just wanted to touch base. Keep smiling!
Tips of the day: Bring a good book and hope you can play passenger if you ever have to make that 12 hour drive! Also, don’t stop at some tiny store on the way to buy jerky – so expensive. I am sure you can buy the equipment and meat and make it for a lot less!
