I know you think it’s a typo, but NOPE. I’m leaving Amarillo in the morning. I’m so ready to move on, but it’s been a nice visit. Here is the reason I stayed a little longer

It was George’s 92nd birthday! He’s a great guy! Not only did he let me park my rig at his place, but he also jumped through hoops to make sure I had a dozen fresh eggs to take on the road. I just had to stay!
Normally I would have waited a little while to post, but it’s kind of an anniversary today. I have been on the road for exactly ONE MONTH!!!! It has flown by, and I’m having so much fun!
I had a great talk with my niece Ashley today. Because of this trip (and so many other reasons), I won’t be going to Las Vegas to cook Thanksgiving dinner, so she is stepping up and taking over! I’m so proud of her. She called today for some tips on how to make Grandma’s Drunkin’ Pumpkin pies and Mom’s turkey. She didn’t want to embarrass the family so she is practicing making pies.

I’m impressed with her first attempt! We’ll see what the people at her work think tomorrow.
Tomorrow I’ll be making my way to the Dallas area and spending tomorrow night in some random Texas State park just to see what I can see. After that, I think Elaine and Cliff may come to blows – she swears that no matter what Cliff says, I HAVE to take the 20 to the 287 in Ft Worth. I have no clue what she is talking about, but I’ll check to see if Cliff agrees, and oops, I said ‘THE’ 20 and 287. Oh well, some old habits are hard to break.
I’m about to watch the Dodgers beat the Yankees again, so y’all have a nice evening and GO DODGERS!
Tip of the day: If you want to get good at something, practice practice practice.
