Sorry Buffalo peeps, but this young lady brightens my life and I love spending time with her!

She took time out of her busy schedule to camp with me in the Catskills (Sorry Cindy, I didn’t see any Dirty Dancing anywhere). This blog is more of a special memory for me than an update for all you lovely readers, but it will give you a glimpse of what is important to me. My kids are my roots and keep me grounded.
We stayed at a huge KOA and it seemed we had the place to ourselves!

She helped me put my shade up for the first time and make it a real camp

We took hikes every day and saw pretty views and waterfalls

Made delicious dinners (including a pork loin in the firepit!), and had a camp fire every night – turns out she’s quite the fire maker – of course she’s barefoot

Played a little one on one

And had wonderful long talks every night while watching the fireflies dance in the park next to us. We also ‘adopted’ a squirrel and named him Carl.
It was so hard to say goodbye at the Yonkers’ train station. I miss her so much, but I am so very proud of her. She followed her heart and is making her way in this world. I hope she knows how special she is and how much I love her.
It was an experience getting out of NY and trying to avoid tolls. Cliff took me over the George Washington Bridge, and into New Jersey – where it turns out they HAVE to pump gas for you! I was lectured and told I could get back in my car, but I chatted with the attendant anyway – nice guy.
On another note – it has been WAY to long since I have seen my son! He handles my mail and we talk pretty often, so that’s cool, but he is missed too.
I’ll have more for all of you soon. I just had to get this one in the memory journal.
This is the anniversary of the 9th month of my travels – Wow! I could have a baby in that amount of time! Which brings me to congratulations to my cousin Katie – it’s about time we had a baby in this family. A HUGE welcome to our new addition!!
Tip of the day: When you are going to be away from your rig for a while and it is hooked up to your car – unplug it!! Especially if you have the fridge plugged in. Yep! I needed another angel to jumpstart Sydney.
