I have had a fantastic day, so I had to write again. I am so grateful to be able to take this adventure. I had support from quite a few people to get this started – i mentioned a couple in my first blog – but I felt a need to give a shout out to some of the small things I am grateful for.

The first night in a somewhat rustic campground with battery problems so no electricity or running water, BUT I still managed to watch one episode of Grey’s anatomy and give myself a manicure! (Thank you Sheri and Color Street!) I know, waste of generator power but it was worth it!

For how beautiful a dry hot desert can be.

Desert sunsets and warm evening breezes while making dinner.
Oh and Thank you to Thrive Life (Beryl)! I had some old cans of their food, so I decided to bring them along. It made a fantastic chicken and veggie thingy!!!
On another note – thank you to Gerry for introducing me to headlamps! Way better than a flashlight.
After working a few hours today (I promise, the work hours will pick up, but I am having too much fun at the moment), I went golfing with John and Bob. So much fun, but I don’t think they were too happy when I beat them by a few strokes. Oh well.
Tip of the day: Altitude and golf is really a thing! It took me four holes before I realized that I was constantly a club short (it took me landing one two yards short in the water for a penalty to figure it out), so I decided to club up. Then I started to hit the lights out! Don’t be shy to go bigger than you think you need to …. on the golf course that is. Goodnight.
