Hey. I have to apologize about my last post. This wasn’t meant to be a forum for my views on topics. It’s a journal of my journey, so I will get back on track!

Did I tell you that I can’t always tell who is reading this? My aunt comes up as ‘Dazzling Koala’, there is also ‘Impossibly Distinguished’, and the interesting ‘Chaos Original’. It’s kind of fun to guess who you are.

On my way to Clearwater, I decided to be daring and not reserve a campsite. I thought I would drive as far as I could and sleep somewhere ‘RV parky’ told me I could. Welllllll in my infinite wisdom, I took the Coastal Highway instead of the main drag, which would have been nice if I could actually see the water. Problem is, there are not many significant towns on this route. I’d been driving all day, so around 6:30 (completely dark by this time), I looked for a rest area – this is my preferred place to rest since I’m not in an RV and need the facilities. Tell me, what rest area closes from 7PM to 7AM?!!!! Where the heck am I suppose to REST? I had 5 minutes to brush my teeth and get back on the road.

Most travelers will tell you to find a Cracker Barrel or a Camping World preferably. No go in Perry, FL, BUT there IS a Walmart! Those of you who consistently stay in Walmart parking lots are very brave. I felt it was a little sketchy. It finally got quite about 10:00 and I slept off and on. Decided to hit the road again at 5AM and I plan to NOT do that again unless I absolutely have to!

As I said, I am staying in an apartment for a while and it is walking distance from Dunedin, a cute town. I spent the day meandering through shops and found some great music at a cool place.

Andy plays here every 1st and 3rd Saturday from 1-4. It was a beautiful afternoon, but chilly by the time I walked home. Oh, and I got a little turned around and couldn’t find the trail, so I had to breakdown and ask Cliff again. He’s pretty good at giving walking directions too. Have you ever messed with Your Siri by taking wrong turns on purpose? The new chosen routes to get you back on track can lead to interesting places.

Is it possible that a rooftop carrier can decrease my gas mileage by more that 2 MPG? Anybody want it?

I can fit everything in my car, so this has just been a nice convenience.

I officially have nothing else to talk to you about. I’m sure that will be short lived. I am so excited about Shyla coming!! Do I have a tip for today? Of course.

TOTD: Stay on task! Haha. Also, remember that time really does go by fast. I can’t believe it has been 2 months already.
