Where’s Clairabelle when you need her?

I have to start this one off with a big ol’ Happy Birthday Elaine!

I wouldn’t normally start off with a shout out, but she is the reason I busted butt to get back to Midlothian from AZ and we’ve had a great time celebrating. I’ve been to Scottsdale and back – got here on Friday and 30 minutes later, she made me get back in a car for an hour and a half drive to go to dinner! I was pooped to say the least but it was fun.

Anyway, the birthday girl says I don’t blog enough and when I do, it’s too long. In my defense, I’m either on the move, or there just isn’t much going on, and I CERTAINLY wouldn’t want to bore you! LOL I did read my last blog and it took me about 4 minutes – I’ll try to split this one up and make it a two minute read. Wish me luck!

It was really fun taking an entire week to get to Scottsdale. My next stop after the Sand Dunes was Tombstone, AZ!

Clairabelle would have been right at home. Can you imagine her Photoshopped in here instead of the real me?

I think most of you know who Clairabelle is, but for ‘Clairification”, you have the good, sweet, can get away with anything version

And the dirty, nasty, train robbing version

Yes, I used to rob trains in Georgetown, CO. If you’ve never been, it’s a cool place to visit.

I was in Scottsdale for 9 days – thank you Ken for putting up with me sleeping on your couch! The weather was beautiful, I played a little golf, danced at least 4 nights, some guy shared his yummy steak with me just because I was hanging out on the roof and he wanted company, and they have driverless cars everywhere!

How many of you have seen these? It was crazy! I really wish I had tried it once just to share the experience with you, but the opportunity never came up.

I also played volleyball 3 days. Part of that was the Old not Dead tournament (Yes, I’m old). Here’s some of the ladies and it seems like I run into this dude just about everywhere I go!

He and his doubles partner actually came in second for the men – I didn’t do as well. 😉

I’ll tell you about the trip back to Texas in the next post. Coming soon…..

Tip of the Day: I heard from my friend who went to Big Bend after me and she really liked it! My tip is, don’t be silly like me. If you are there, make sure you have a couple of days to check out the whole park!

PS I just read this over. 2 minutes and 10 seconds. Not bad!

Thank you to my BFF for making sure she was back in Texas to celebrate with me. Wouldn’t be the same without you!
