So our night of rest did not go as planned. Diana and I went to bed early hoping to start the day fresh and ready to head on down the road to Utah. The camper was comfy and because the temperature was cool and there was a pleasant breeze outside, we didn’t require any air conditioning. Which by the way was great because our site did not have electricity.
We were dozing off and all of a sudden a train horn sounded. We were both startled and I think my heart skipped a beat. That horn was so loud I thought the train was right next to our camper. Well, it was close enough because the tracks were right across the street about 50 yards away. And that was not the only train we experienced. There was another one 5 minutes later and this continued throughout the night about 8 more times and then again in the morning making sleep virtually impossible.
On the positive side, we opened the camper doors to see these beautiful mountains. We are off to experience day 2, both of us in a partial coma. LOL!

Tip of the Night…when booking your Harvest Host site, take a good look at Google maps to see if there are any train tracks within a mile of your site and definitely right across the street. Hee Hee
