The Lower Calf Creek Falls

We got a little later start than we hoped. Diana was working away trying to make some people some money.

The drive was pretty short (about 25 mins) but along the way we had a few lights come on in the Jeep’s display that made us concerned. After arriving at our destination, the Jeep was dead and wouldn’t start again. Ugh!

We decided to hike to the falls anyway and deal with the Jeep later. It was a 6-mile hike roundtrip and well worth it. There were your typical red and tan canyon walls, cactus, wild flowers and then there was a lot of green trees.

The Lower Calf Creek Falls did not disappoint. It was steady flow of water and it was nice and cold. The sand around the canyon was so soft and nice under our feet.

We snapped a few fun pics of us at the falls, ate a snack and headed back.

On our trek back there was a little drizzle and a nice bit of thunder so we were glad to be getting back to the Jeep to play mechanics. And much to our surprise, the Jeep started without a hitch.

Tip of the Day: Don’t assume that everyone carries jumper cables in their vehicle when you borrow it for the week. Always make your home list of car repair items just in case.
